“People say, "What is the sense of our small effort?" They cannot see that we must lay one brick at a time, take one step at a time.”

― Dorothy Day

Volunteers are needed to preform various tasks from assisting with meals, organizing donations, and helping to provide basic services.

If you would like to volunteer please click here.

Sleeping bags, garbage bags, drinking water, food, donations are greatly appreciated.

Call 408.372.6770 or e-mail Info@SJHV.org to arrange a pick up or drop off.

Organizing supporters and political will are the two biggest issues Hope Village faces. Currently the San Jose area is very divided when it comes to helping people experiencing homelessness. Many people need to be educated on the realities of homelessness and the housing crisis.

You can help by adding your name or the name of your organization to our Supporters list as well as sending a letter to our elected officials, click here for a sample letter.

Donated funds will be used to purchase needed supplies and pay for on-going expenses (garbage collection, porta potties and so on).

Tax deductible donations can be

made to the San Jose Catholic Worker.
